While Maria Allen was at University studying graphic design in the vibrant City of Brighton, back in 2008, she became inspired by the antique markets and jewellery shops of the famous North Laine, and developed a passion for unusual jewellery and vintage keepsakes.
However, there was a lack of desirable, affordable jewellery available on the high street, and spotting a gap in the market for unique, personalised items, she created her own handmade jewellery to sell online and at craft fairs, without the exclusive price tag.
With designs inspired by vintage illustrations, travel memorabilia, botanical etchings and beautiful typography, combining vintage designs with modern ideas, and applying both innovative craft techniques; Maria successfully created her own distinctive style and her business flourished.
Today Maria works with her small, but perfectly formed team of 6, who take great pride developing fresh ideas, designing interesting products, and finding new materials to use with their faithful laser cutter. Since the early days the product range has evolved and now includes personalised accessories, homeware, men’s jewellery, and wedding decorations. Recent best-sellers include Personalised Plectrums, Luggage Tags and Glass Jewellery Boxes.
